Year-long courses:
Our year-long courses have been designed to fill a specific gap in the adventure training market in South Africa. The course prepares the candidate for all the aspects of a career in adventure guiding. Our long courses are the most comprehensive and unique adventure guide training programmes available in South Africa today. Short adventure courses:
Our short courses cover the "elective" component of a qualification. It has to be connected to one of the "core" qualifications in order for the student to be registered as a legal guide in South Africa. If you are already registered as a tourist guide you may be able to just complete an elective to upgrade your registration. Core qualifications:
We currently offer two "core" qualification options to choose from. A student can also choose to complete both core qualifications in order to get the widest possible scope of practice. The Generic Adventure Site Guide also allows for the certification of students who work in niche adventure fields where no elective qualification exists.
